About Me:
Save Maumee has been my hobby and passion since 2001 when I became an activist and outspoken voice for The Maumee River, since it is the most polluted of the 3 rivers in Fort Wayne. Renewable resources need to remain just that "renewable" not polluted beyond use. We as a state have to act with a business-as-usual plan of action to serve ALL of us for sustainability. The country is in the middle of a "go-green" craze; how great would it be if our governor and our state were early adaptors to these eco-friendly ideals to be applied! Supporting Green public policies, such as tax breaks and other forms of assistance for industries that devote themselves to efficient use of air, soil because what we do in our homes, yards and businesses ultimately ends up downstream.
When we elect our government officers, we put faith that they will work with the people and for the people. Right now, the state has the opportunity to take a distinct path where we look forward at our actions today and see the possibilities for us to have a financially richer, healther and cleaner future for ourselves and the future generations of Hoosiers!
I want to be part of the solution and provide realistic restoration and sustainable practices for our watershed, holding all of us in the watershed accountable for what we do, or refuse to do. I will remain a driving force until I'm swimming in the Maumee with the children, instead of picking out shopping carts and tires.

First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win.

Your sweet to appease me. No need, I don't like to see the ugly side either. I am peace loving, but I rather throw a fit about civil rights than let anyone else take them away. I know if someone can stop me from doing something, NOONE else even has a chance to move forward with their passions.
13 copies were submitted to Room 630 City County Building today (Tues. PM) so you missed it. The meeting is Wed. June 11 at (noon) i think.
Feel free to show up for the meeting, I am teaching till 3 - they need me!
The frogs were for sure a hit! So was the demo...I think the kids get it more than the adults!

Abby,

This is a reminder about contacting the library Community Relations person about the petition thing. I understand your frustration about the bureacracy, but the fact is it exists and we all have to work around it. I can't imagine that this will take much more than a call, but be sure to reiterate this is neither a political nor a fundraising petition. These are cause-related, civic issues without any sociaal bias.

I'm sorry that it cuts short petition signing time but I didn't want to see anything ugly occur between you and the Security at the event. That would have been counter-productive.

As for me, I still need to sign it. When will you be around and when is the meeting for this?

p.s., the frogs were a real hit with the kids

Abby,

I just left a message for Ryan. I asked to meet with him before the Eagle Marsh date. Thanks for referring him; it's good to know good people.

I'll stop through your house there on Niagara. You're on the corner of that and Pemberton, right?

Why don't I stop through on the way home (4:00-ish). I'll see you then.

Thanks, and if any of the Heartland folks need a lift to and from the Eagle Marsh thing, that is a possibility.

Whatz up darlin'? I think this is the fastest I have ever accepted an invite to another social network "*adam sandler grunt* gotta go green - gotta promote green - gotta" *scratches head as to the new Fozyism that has just started "formu-gelatin" and wonders where it will go next* And people wonder why I don't burn herb!

Until next time, Blessings!!

Yes, I told you we were almost neighbors!!! I live just north of Delaware over by the St. Joe. When will you be home? I could drop it this afternoon or tomorrow morning.

I'll check with the Heartland folks to see if I can't get coverage for the 21st. Eagle Marsh is that huge wetland off of Engle Rd./U.S. 24/I-69.

I'll restock the Enviroscape w/kool-aid and Cocoa powder.

THx,

Matt

When can I get the Enviroscape to you? I can bring it home with me or arrange a special pick up time.

Abby,

That's great! No problem with the use of the Enviroscape. BTW, would you like to represent the Partnership at the Eagle Marsh Open House? They have also requested the Enviroscape be present on Sat. the 21st. Unfortunately, my schedule has just knocked me out of the ability to be there myself.

Email me back ASAP with the dates you'd like and whether you can manage the Eagle Marsh date.

Thanks, and keep in touch. I have brochures for you to hand out at those events, if you'd like them.

Keep rockin'

Great Dylan, I am so glad we met! Yes Ryan Bailey has been talking about an art show for quite a while. He has several artists that are willing to donate pics and donate the money for our 319 grant that we are working on and due in August sometime. This 319 grant will match any money or in-kind donations we recieve...if we come up with 40% of the money / services they will match it 60%! I know they guy at your house for staff night was talking about an art show too, make sure he is invited. Heartland is talking about a full circle event (art, speakers, bands, education etc.) but we are doing many things and the city keeps changing its mind when it gives us Follinger Theatre, then says they gave it to someone else on that day? Whatever, if you have a place for the art show even better. Lets fix the world, today! Where is casa mio?
