- I attended an "environmental" school in 6th grade (1981) and a few years later spent time in Austria. These experiences made me into a bit of a tree-hugger. I believe all societies, but in particular ours, can and ought to improve their resource usage. I think we should operate on as sustainable basis as possible, then if for economic or other reasons we "need" to tear down habitats etc., then there is some "slack" that can be taken up. I am not nearly as interested in concerns for human health as for animal/vegetative, as the latter supplements the former. My only efforts at the moment are personal and involve reuse/recycling/conservation to the max.............dk
