Please help us get off grid!!!!! We do not use the old electric radiant ceiling heating system that came with house, that had deteriorated. According to an electrition, he said it was dangerous. The only heat in this house is by portable radiant oil filled heaters. You won't see the heat here get past the 67 degree mark, and that's on warmer days. It just means wearing warmer clothing. I don't understand people on the grid, that amp up their heat so they can wear t-shirts, and shorts, and nothing else, in the middle of winter. What's available, and affordable, to Hoosiers, in solar, and or wind? Affordability is the biggest issue, I believe, and it should not have to be an issue with people that really want to conserve.

Hi, I'm Marianne. I'm a garden writer/columnist/speaker up here in Northern Indiana. I've also been tackling environmental issues lately, too. Do you live "off the grid?"

Hello, I'm Nova
I have been running an alternative energy myspace site for about 7 yrs now.
I came across this site when the owner added me as a friend. I am very excited about this site. For now most of my stuff is on myspace. I will be trying to move alot of the info. to this site over the next few days. I finally sprused up my page to look like something I would be running. So hopefully people like it when they visit. Hope to see ya on there and Have a great day.Spread the word out if you can.

Your friend,
Nova

I wish I had a wood burner. I love the smell of the wood filling the house. Things for me are going good, got some anxiety because alot of new events and work will be happening for me very shortly.

I forgot to ask, what do you do for a living? I have been curious of such for a while.

We just have the 3 sizes I mentioned.
As far as getting the word out, I'm on myspace, posting bulletins and such all the time. Emailing, letters to the editor, word of mouth, any way you can possibly think of. Have you checked out Cafe Press? You can make anything into a bumper sticker, tshirt, etc. It's good for getting your message out.
