Profile Information

About Me:
I am a Fort Wayne native, currently finishing my Master's in Biology, Ecology and Evolution at the University of Illinois in Chicago. I got my undergrad in Environmental Science at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. I am very interested in joining the growing community of eco-concious people in the area and reversing what has been referred to as the "brain drain". My areas of expertise are management of diverse assemblages of native species in natural areas (promotion of natives and control of non-natives), prescribed fire, and environmental education. My interests are in canoeing/kaying, farm markets, wineries, hiking, local dining-especially vegetarian, and I love herps! The changes and improvements in Fort Wayne are very exciting - can't wait to move back there and get more involved!

Currently, I am looking for employment as well. My CV is posted for anyone who may be interested.

Hi Jodi, welcome BACK to Indiana (soon)! Thanks for your efforts on behalf of Indiana ("reversing the brain drain"). It's an exciting time to be in Indiana...much good happening. You'll find lots of great farmer's markets (get down to Bloomington's saturday market in the summer and Trader's Point creamery year round. There are fun wineries, great hikings and very good local restaurants. And this is just Central Indiana...much good happening in the north as well! thanks for staying a Hoosier! Be sure to check out the CEES at IUPUI.

Hello, I'm Nova
I have been running an alternative energy myspace site for about 7 yrs now.
I came across this site when the owner added me as a friend. I am very excited about this site. For now most of my stuff is on myspace. I will be trying to move alot of the info. to this site over the next few days. I finally sprused up my page to look like something I would be running. So hopefully people like it when they visit. Hope to see ya on there and Have a great day.Spread the word out if you can.

Your friend,

Thank you for becoming a member of AGI, you are most welcome here. Feel free to make it your place and invite your friends to take a look and see what they think. Hopefully they will join the site and participate!

We have created several help documents so to help you get the most out of www.AGreenerIndiana.com.

1- Check out the getting started guide HERE

2- There are many ways to communicate and each way has it’s advantages. Check out the different ways you can communicate on the site HERE

3- If you are having any other problems be sure to look at our help section HERE

Your expertise is needed on this site! What are your strong points in environmental awareness? What are your curiosities? Is there a particular arena or field we could help empower you with? AGI's members are specialists in many areas and AGI has a staff that is able to offer full support and assistance in environmental work and issues, community and economic development, advertising, promotions, web design, and programming. If you have a question or a request. DO NOT HESITATE TO ASK!

The idea here is to support you in helping to support communities and Indiana as a whole to make the change over to more sustainable practices.... To help everybody learn how they can improve all of the little things so that together we make a BIG DIFFERENCE.

There are many groups you can join on www.AGreenerIndiana.com. Besides the resource based environmental arenas of: Land, Water, Air, Energy, Policy, and Advocacy, there are many other groups that are interconnected to sustainability and the green paradigm including recreation, health/wellness, agriculture, building and design, community development, economic development, products, arts, humanities and many more.

You can share your awareness and activities in any of the above through the many facets this site offers and more soon to come. Chat around, friend up like minded individuals, post, blog, make and form groups. These are just some of the ways in which you may interact and utilize this site to further your work and explore your greener passions.

We are all in this together and together we can help make things better.

Kootoss to you for participating in this great work!

As for the job hunt. Certian membrs might be able to help if you ask around and interact. Derek Reuter, Ron James, and Matt Jones "Indy4Jones" are great contacts to have. Jain Young and John Steinbach might also be able to help.

Before contacting, fill out your profile. Let it be an example of your life in full and the work and studies you have accomplished. As if it was to exibit your interest, experience, and facets.
