One large planning meeting should help lay the foundation for a great Rally. Unfortunately, finding a good date is difficult. I suggest we use the "Doodle" schedule at http://www.doodle.ch/participation.html?pollId=hp3gwbdm229a5isk to indicate availability. (This is a great scheduling tool .) Would a Saturday be a potential time? (Probably not but worth a try.) I assume we could find some appropriate location if we have a time.
Please make suggestions for the event in this forum.
In response the the email thread that has been occuring. I am unavailable on the 9th to attend a meeting in Indy. But am open to attending a meeting on the 11th in West Layafette and Indy, WL as a preference because I will be attending the Riverfest and would give me a rare opp to see my sister. Oh and the "ch" is prolly Chili.
I can make an Indy meeting on the 9th, or a W.L. meeting on the 11th (but not an indy meeting). I do like the concept of utilizing the Greener Indiana format along with survey tools for discussion and decision making as much as possible. I for one want to avoid the frequent, long , and process heavy meetings that we did for the first Rally. Having co-led the first Rally and learning from experience, I hope we can keep the second Rally (and its planning) simple, inexpensive, fun, transparent and open, and focused on a few agreed upon outcomes. This, IMO, would make the second Rally much better than the first.
Doodle looks great - I'm marking it for use on the Corridor!
Quaere - when do we 'pull the trigger' and pick the date? How do we set a deadline? The EE Symposium group probably won't get back to this till next Monday (though Jan is on top of it already)?
