Some basic information on The Indiana Wildlife Federation
Everybody should take a look at IWF. They are really getting things done. You may think of them as "Just a bunch of Hunters and Fishermen" A lot of them do love to hunt and fish.
If you take a peek at their site, http://www.indianawildlife.org/IWFinAction.htm then you will see that they are making a real difference.
I am a member of IWF and I can see that they accomplish a lot at the state level and they also do a million unsung things through their active local chapters.

this is a great and accurate comment by Ellen. I am a member of this group and they really get a lot done. They have a long list of accomplishments every year that directly benefit Indiana's environment.
They have not yet become active on this site, but in time I am confident they will.
Everybody should check out their site and consider joining IWF.

I did a workshop with Jerry Wheeler, he has a great sense of humor, and really puts things in perspective when it comes to environmental issues,and wildlife issues. This is difinitely a heads up group. I have been a member for a while.
